Selecting Your Christmas Tree

Douglas fir

Available as a fresh-cut tree on our sales lot.

Has lush blue-green, soft needles about 1" long on a pliable branch, with very good needle retention.

Scotch pine

Available as a fresh cut tree on our sales lot or as choose-and-cut in our field.

Has blue to green pointy needles about 1½" long with outstanding needle retention and traditional pine scent.

Concolor fir

Available as a fresh cut tree on our sales lot.

Has soft, silvery blue needles about 2" long with very good needle retention. It is distinctive for its citrus aroma.

Fraser fir

Available as a fresh cut tree on our sales lot.

Soft 1" needles are green on top with silvery under side on aromatic stiff branches. Known for outstanding needle retention.

Blue spruce

Available as a fresh-cut tree on our sales lot and as a choose-and-cut tree in our field. (Limited selection in the field.)

Also called Colorado spruce; has a sharp green to blue 1" needle with moderate needle retention on stiff branches for your heavy ornaments.

Nordmann fir

Available as a fresh-cut tree on our sales lot and as a choose-and-cut tree in our field.

Blunt, soft needles 1-1½" long on strong, symmetrically arranged branches are dark green on top with silvery underside. Perfect for heavy ornaments, with superb needle retention.

White pine

Available as a choose-and-cut tree in our field.

Soft, green needles 2-3" long on pliable branches. Has excellent needle retention and characteristic pine scent.

Cedar

Available as a choose-and-cut tree in our field.

Has scale-like "needles" with a distinctive cedar aroma. Reminiscent of Victorian times.
